The Best Primary School in Scotland?

Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Education (HMIe) have just published the findings of their May report into Uyeasound Primary School - to view it, click here.

The school was described as excellent in 4 out of 5 areas, which is classed as “outstanding & sector leading”. This classes the school as one of the best primary schools in Scotland.

Congratulations to the staff, parents and students!

Sport Relief

A fantastic turn out for Sport Relief saw over 200 people walk/hop/run 1, 3 or 6 miles around Baltasound on Sunday.

A great achievement that demonstrates Unst is still a vibrant community and worth fighting for! We raised almost £1080, nearly double the Lerwick total! C’mon Unst!

Save Our Schools

Baltasound Junior High School pupils teamed up with the BBC for School Report Day and reported on the S.I.C. proposals for school closures.
